California State University Channel Islands’ Sierra Hall received the 2016 Best Higher Education/Research Project for Southern California from Engineering News-Record. This flexible, new undergraduate science building is organized around an elevated rooftop courtyard, and contains interdisciplinary damp labs that can interchangeably accommodate geology, earth sciences, archaeology and anthropology, supporting growth in any one discipline, or emergent disciplines.
