UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA HEALTH SYSTEM EDUCATION RESOURCE CENTER

The Education Resource Center is an academic and clinic building that is strategically located across from the entrance to the University of Virginia Medical Center, and near the Emily Couric Clinical Cancer Center and a parking structure. The ERC contains a new outpatient imaging center and pharmacy, patient education conference space, and medical resident workspace. It also provides a convenient, covered walkway for patients visiting the cancer center. The three-story building, registered for LEED Silver, has sustainable features such as a green roof, sloped berm and sunken terrace, allowing direct views to natural landscapes at all levels of the project.
