The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) Southern California Chapter throws one of the design industry’s most exciting events in Los Angeles – Haunt Couture – and CO Architects participated in this year’s event for the first time! CO’s team of Dimitra Dorbacopoulos, Sona Aroush, Teck Chan, Vanessa Cartagena, Alison Martin and James Simeo had a spooky good time representing Team Gemini.
Tata Hall for the Sciences is a new state of the art research and teaching laboratory at UC San Diego. Together with our engineers, CO Architects developed energy conservation strategies to reduce the building’s overall energy consumption. As laboratories are one of the most energy intensive building types – and are operational 24 hours a day – efficiencies can yield huge reductions in the building’s carbon footprint.
How has the changing pace of the design profession influenced design quality? Here at CO we have developed systems that ensure high design quality and productivity no matter the pace of a project.
As part of CO’s Balcony Hour series, CO Presents, the office hosted Alvin Huang, founder of Synthesis Design + Architecture and Assistant Professor at the USC School of Architecture to present and share his work.
