Medical education facilities have evolved profoundly in the last 20 years. CO Architects has strategically partnered with schools of allopathic and osteopathic medicine, nursing and allied health across the country to create transformational facilities that support evolving curricular, pedagogical and technological approaches to training, research and patient care. The firm’s medical education specialists are widely recognized leaders in their field, having planned, programmed and designed over 8.4 million square feet of academic space for medical and health sciences education. This work represents a significant percentage of both new and re-envisioned medical and health sciences facilities planned and designed in the US since 2000, distinguishing CO among national architectural practices. Our leaders have presented this work at a variety of conferences and venues, the highlights of which are included below.
