CO Architects’ Associate Principal Parini Mehta has been named to the AIA AAH List of Healthcare Design’s Best Under 40. Now in its fifth year, the U40 List recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the advancement of design in healthcare facilities. This distinguished list is nomination-based, and only two individuals are selected each year.
With over 15 years of experience designing and managing cutting-edge healthcare facilities, Parini has dedicated herself to design with a greater purpose. She exemplifies thoughtful leadership and strategic planning and programming, evidenced by her recent work with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Scripps Health, Kaiser Permanente, Palomar Health and others.
Parini’s commitment to advancing healthcare design also translates beyond projects, and she has been a leader and active volunteer in both the CO office and larger Los Angeles community. She served as a co-chair for the AIA | LA Healthcare Committee in 2017 and 2018, during which time she led the committee’s activities and events. She also offers her time guest lecturing and volunteering, and introduced a 4-week summer program at CO to expose female high school students to architecture and design. Parini also co-founded the CORE Committee at CO to foster comradery, connections and support growth in management skills in the next generation of practice leadership.
Parini will attend the AIA Summer Leadership Summit in Chicago in. July, where she will be honored as one of this year’s U40 List winners. Congratulations to Parini on the well-deserved recognition!
