CO Architects is looking for a Director of Employee Experience to join our interdisciplinary and collaborative practice. This position will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of processes and initiatives across the organization aimed at creating a cohesive and consistent employee experience and firm culture by ensuring continued employee support, engagement and growth.

  • Help manage applicant tracking, review resumes, assist with interviews and candidate evaluations.
  • Assist with on boarding and provide support and advice to new employees.
  • Facilitate staff training and coaching, help with firm’s mentorship program, knowledge sharing and leadership skills.
  • Help coordinate annual professional development reviews, ensure follow-up and facilitate alignment of staff goals with project assignments and practice opportunities.
  • Participate in promotion evaluations and assist in continuous improvement of processes.
  • Champion office culture, facilitate sense of community and support justice, equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives to ensure transparency, retention and overall employee well-being.
  • Coordinate with firm partners and Director of Human Resources related to HR process improvements.
  • Collaborate closely with the Principal in Charge of Staffing and Hiring.

Job Requirements:

  • Must possess strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with ability to build consensus.
  • Strong coaching, presentation, oral, and written communication and active listening skills.
  • Strong personal initiative to resolve diverse challenges.
  • Expected to play a proactive and visible role in the practice.
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience in a similar role addressing employee relations and organizational structure and in collaboration with HR and Firm leadership.
  • Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in a relevant field of study.
  • Previous experience in an architectural or design practice preferred.

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
