CO Architects is looking for an Intermediate Designer to support onsite construction administration located in San Marcos, CA just north of San Diego.We are a practice dedicated to making buildings that enrich people’s lives – places of lasting significance that appeal as fully to the spirit as to the intellect. Candidate should exhibit the following skills and traits:

  • Strong verbal, written and graphic communication skills
  • Experience and knowledge in the following:
    • Building codes and agency requirements
    • Building Engineering Systems and coordination with consultants
    • Design and Documentation (drawings and specifications) of projects
    • Working with contractors/trades in collaborative delivery
    • Understanding of Construction Administration tasks (Submittals, RFI’s, Observation Reports, etc.)

Job Requirements:

  • 5- 8 years of experience in the design and construction industry
  • Minimum 1 year experience with CA duties required
  • Large or institutional project experience strongly preferred
  • Healthcare/OSHPD experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Revit/BIM production required
  • Licensed architect preferred but not required
  • Willing to work full time on site in San Marcos and be part of CO’s San Diego Office
  • LEED certification preferred

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
