PROJECT ADMINISTRATOR – SAN MARCOS CONSTRUCTION SITE (NORTH OF SAN DIEGO, CA)

CO Architects is currently seeking a Project Administrator to join our interdisciplinary, collaborative practice. This position will focus on providing administrative support during construction of a large healthcare project currently ongoing in San Marcos, CA just North of San Diego.

Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for filing and maintaining accurate project logs and documentation, the project administrator will also support projects in construction including processing RFIs, submittals, bulletins and change orders.
  • Meeting scheduling, set-up and attendance at select meetings as well as preparation of agendas and meeting minutes or other documentation is part of this role.
  • Assembling reports, creating, formatting, and proofreading project documents and general correspondence (agenda, minutes, comment matrices, programming documents) is necessary.
  • Assisting project teams in compiling milestone contract documentation, addenda, specifications could be required.

Job Requirements:

  • Applicant should have college degree and a minimum of 5 years of project administration experience in the architectural or construction industry.
  • Experience working with medium to large scale institutional and healthcare projects throughout the project delivery process is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Bluebeam as well as construction document control software such as Prolog, Newforma, Planwell, Procore, eBuilder, etc. is preferred.
  • Knowledge of e-Specs, Microsoft Project and Revit a plus.
  • Strong organizational, communication and time management skills and an ability to work independently with minimal guidance is needed.
  • Team player with good understanding of small and large team dynamics important.
