Project Architect / Construction Administrator K-12

CO Architects is looking for a Project Architect focused on Construction Administration to join our interdisciplinary and collaborative project teams. Candidate should exhibit the following skills and traits:

  • Ability to work in a collaborative and dynamic team environment
  • Proficiency with technical detailing and documentation
  • Strong design and graphic sensibility with creative problem-solving
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
  • Strong verbal, written and graphic communication skills
  • Experience and knowledge in the following:
    • Building codes and agency requirements including DSA
    • Experience with implementation of K-12 district standards and guidelines
    • Building Engineering Systems and coordination with consultants
    • Working with contractors/trades in collaborative delivery
    • Design and Documentation of K-12 projects
    • CA Activities – reviewing and responding to RFI’s, submittals, and shop drawings; attending site meetings; preparing field reports; working with contractors and building inspectors to efficiently address field issues.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience within the design and construction industry
  • Prior construction administration experience required
  • Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in Architecture required
  • Proficiency in Revit/BIM production required
  • Professional license within the State of California preferred
  • LEED certification preferred

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
