CO Architects 2019 Promotions
We are pleased to announce our new associate principal, senior associates and associates for 2019:
Associate Principal
Michael Stebbins, AIA, brings a thoughtful, collaborative approach to managing programmatically and technically complex education and civic projects at CO. With over 25 years of experience leading diverse teams, his depth of design knowledge, advocacy for users and passion for every detail have enhanced innovative projects in the US and Chile.
Senior Associates
Lauren Coles, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, brings over fifteen years of experience in design management to her role as a project manager at CO. Driven and thorough, Lauren is dedicated to working collaboratively to provide clients with detailed coordination and design excellence on large higher education and healthcare projects. Lauren also serves as a mentor to CO’s staff on the architecture licensure process.
Carolina Ziebell joined CO Architects in 2018 as a senior medical planner. Tenaciously design and detail oriented, Carolina blends medical planning with architecture and interior design skills to create solutions that are both functional and beautiful. Her work across a wide range of healthcare projects has been marked with a commitment to enhancing the human experience.
Associates
A designer with the firm since 2014, Seth Barnard’s work at CO has spanned K-12, science & technology, higher education and healthcare. He brings a thorough and thoughtful approach to design-sensitive solutions.
Alex Garcia, AIA, LEED GA, joined CO in 2018, bringing 18 years of architectural design and project management experience for institutional facilities. Alex thoughtful designs and technical knowledge have been invaluable on CO’s academic medical center projects.
Specification Writer Heather Heise joined CO in 2017. Drawing on a diverse background in writing, marketing and classical piano, Heather’s methodical and organized approach brings intelligence to specifications and enhances CO’s projects.
A member of the office since 2016, Rucha Karnik, AIA, has worked on complex healthcare and higher education projects while at CO. Observant and consistent, Rucha’s strong organization and management skills are valued by teams and clients.
Lois Lee draws on a diverse design background in architecture, journalism and photography to create thoughtful solutions for CO’s education projects. Through photography, graphics and architecture, she represents and improves each project.
Motivated and analytical, Alison Martin, AIA, joined the firm in 2016 and has explored her interest in community-based design on higher education, master planning and healthcare projects. She is also on the leadership committee for AIA|LA Emerging Professionals.
Erin Zukowski, CO’s office manager since 2015, is an integral part of defining and enabling the firm’s collaborative culture. She is passionate about continuous improvement and is an invaluable resource for all things CO.
