CO Architects + Hensel Phelps were selected as the Design-Build team for UC Riverside’s new School of Medicine Education Building II. The design for the new home for the SOM features traditional and emerging learning environments, offices, study and social spaces for students, faculty and staff. To maximize SOM EDII’s lifespan, CO designed a flexible and adaptable building that will be responsive to growth as needs change in the future.
Abundant outdoor seating, terraces and landscaping encourage respite and collaboration, and the building’s siting creates a School of Medicine Plaza that knits together the existing School of Medicine Precinct buildings and can host gatherings and events. CO Architects: Architect for the Design-Build team.
