The new home for the Terasaki Institute supports groundbreaking discoveries and is a hub for research, innovation and collaboration on solutions to the world’s biggest health problems. A renovation of the historic headquarters of Weider Health and Fitness, the design cohesively integrates the original wood framed building with high-functioning research labs and office space.
The design is optimized for collaborative scientific work with clean, modernized flexible laboratories, open workplaces and an integrated public forum to cultivate new ideas and connections. The new headquarters embodies the character and identity of the institution as a leader in biomedical research and personalized medicine.
"My father, the late Paul I. Terasaki, started the Terasaki Institute in the hopes that it will make impactful discoveries in medical research. This new research facility will enable us to do so."
